INNOVATIVE FIRE PROTECTION for industrial buildings

The Aero Pro Cert as a VdS-approved aerosol fire extinguishing system

The AeroPro is an innovative and compact aerosol extinguishing system from Dynamit Nobel Defence GmbH which can be combined with one of our fire extinguishing control panels to form an innovative aerosol fire extinguishing system.

The AeroPro was developed for fast and effective use on class A, B, C and F fires.

With little effort, the AeroPro provides fire protection for your enclosed facilities such as battery energy storage systems (BESS), energy storage systems (ESS), storage lifts, machine tools, wind turbines, hazardous material cabinets and transformer stations and integrates seamlessly with your fire alarm systems.

It uses an advanced pyrotechnical triggering system to release an extremely fine aerosol extinguishing agent mist. This extinguishing mist removes oxidising agents and heat from the fire and extinguishes reliably without oxygen deprivation.

Connection to any commercially available fire alarm system is guaranteed by compliance with DIN EN 54, so that our aerosol extinguishing system can be integrated into your existing infrastructure.

The AeroPro Cert from Wetrax GmbH even offers VdS system approval and is recognised by your property insurer.

AEROPRO - THE FLEXIBLE AND VERSATILE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM FOR INDUSTRIAL PLANTS

AeroPro - the flexible and versatile fire extinguishing system for industrial plants

Our highly effective aerosol extinguishing systems can be installed in various industrial plants. Thanks to different trigger mechanisms, the extinguishing systems are flexible and can also be used independently of energy (e.g. sea freight containers).

The three types of system release:

thermal - using a thermodynamic thermal glass ampoule
pneumatic - with a pressurised cylinder for use in ATEX areas
electrical - via transmitted signals from heat or smoke detectors

Your advantages:
  • Can be retrofitted anywhere
  • Immediately protected
  • Automatic fire detection
  • Automatic extinguishing
  • Can be integrated into existing systems
  • Harmless to people and nature
  • Made in Germany
  • Low maintenance
  • NoCO2, no PFAs
  • Cost-effective
  • Minimal invasiveness
  • Dust and waterproof (IP65)

This is how the aerosol fire extinguishing system works:

In the event of a fire, AeroPro has a dual effect: it interrupts the chemical chain reaction in the fire and simultaneously cools at a molecular level.

AeroPro uses an advanced pyrotechnical trigger to release an extremely fine aerosol extinguishing agent mist. This extinguishing mist works differently than extinguishing foam, powder or water.

It removes oxidising agents and heat from the fire. It is non-conductive, so that electrical systems/components can also be successfully extinguished without any further risk of short circuits.

Secondary damage, such as that caused by extinguishing with water, foam or powder, is prevented by AeroPro.

The extinguishing mist is so fine that the residue can be easily removed after extinguishing.

AeroPro

The AeroPro from Meister Brandschutz is an innovative, handy aerosol extinguishing system that has been specially developed for class A, B, C and F fires.

Thanks to its compact, low-maintenance and dust- and water-resistant (IP65) design, the AeroPro offers reliable protection against fires in industrial environments.

It reliably protects enclosed objects such as
  • Server rooms
  • Lithium-ion battery storage systems
  • Energy storage systems
  • Transformer stations
  • Wind power plants
  • Storage lifts
  • Workrooms and machine tools
  • Transport containers
  • Hazardous substance cabinets

AeroPro fulfils the guidelines and standards according to

Release heads

The system can be triggered in various ways:

Manual/thermal: via a thermodynamic thermal glass ampoule Pneumatic: with a pressurised cylinder for use in ATEX areas Electrical: via heat and smoke detectors

The triggering principle can be selected according to the location and conditions. With the thermal variant, triggering is also possible independently of energy!

Thanks to the use of state-of-the-art control technology, it is also possible to cascade several AeroPro generators and connect additional peripheral devices, such as smoke switches to detect smouldering fires. Produktbild 2

Aerosol extinguishing agent

The aerosol extinguishing discs are located in the upper section of the AeroPro generator. The advanced pyrotechnical activation releases an extremely fine aerosol extinguishing agent mist made of potassium carbonate .

The extinguishing mist flows out and suppresses the flames efficiently as the potassium carbonate removes the necessary oxidising agent from the fire. At the same time, it lowers the temperature without reducing the oxygen content of the ambient air.

The particles in the extinguishing fog are around 1 µm in size, which means that the fog spreads quickly and evenly in the fire room and initiates firefighting immediately.

Potassium carbonate is also authorised as a food additive E501 (potash). It is harmless and environmentally friendly. Produktbild 3

Coolant

After the pyrotechnic release, the aerosol released flows through the cooling layer, producing potassium carbonate. Produktbild 4

Outflow direction

When the generator is triggered, the bottom cover is opened.
The Aeropro generator must be installed vertically at a maximum angle of +/-45° so that the extinguishing mist can spread quickly and evenly through this opening in the fire room. Produktbild 5

Cartridge sizes

The AeroPro generators are available in four different sizes.
This means that objects from 0.5m³ up to 20m³ can be protected.

The AeroPro generators are not pressurised and therefore require little maintenance.
The service life after commissioning is up to 10 years. Produktbild 6
