The AMFE mini fire extinguishing system protects industrial switch cabinets and enclosed facilities as a small extinguishing system. The independent test laboratories of VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH have now confirmed its reliability and effectiveness to Meister Automation GmbH.
This means that companies can also benefit. According to VdS Schadenverhütung, there is a fire in German companies every five minutes. This results in annual costs of around 6 billion euros. The German Insurance Association shows that 43% of companies affected by a fire do not resume operations. Defects in the electrical system are frequent fire triggers. This is precisely where the AMFE automatic mini fire extinguishing unit comes in.
The AMFE mini fire extinguishing system detects and extinguishes fires in switch cabinets and enclosed equipment without leaving any residue. As an integrated fire protection solution , it also reports the fire to higher-level fire alarm systems. This fire extinguisher was developed for the fire protection of electrical appliances and the AMFE has now been certified by VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH.
The system is manufactured by JOB GmbH from Ahrensburg. Meister Automation GmbH in Wertheim distributes the system exclusively for German industry. "After extensive testing, we can confirm the reliability and effectiveness of the AMFE mini fire extinguishing system for the S- & R-AMFE with pressure monitoring," states Heike Siefkes, Product Group Manager Gas Extinguishing Systems at VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH.
Michael Oleynik, Managing Director of Meister Automation GmbH, explains: "Switch cabinets are blind spots in industrial fire protection concepts. With the AMFE, these can be effectively protected. We are delighted that the extinguishing effectiveness and reliability of the device-integrated mini fire extinguisher has now been clearly confirmed with the VdS test seal." The VdS approval offers companies additional benefits. With the AMFE, they can not only protect their company fromexpensive business interruptions, but also often benefit from reduced insurance premiums.
Fire protection solutions with VdS certification have been proven to reduce the risk of fire and are therefore regularly recommended by insurance companies. Companies such as the construction machinery manufacturer Liebherr, the power tool manufacturer Festool, the OeTTINGER brewery, the tour operator FTI and the writing and drawing instrument manufacturer Staedtler are already customers of Meister Automation GmbH and use the mini fire extinguishers in their facilities that require protection.
